Marlborough Street in Boston’s Back Bay with buried cars during superstorm “Nemo”
I went out for a stroll early Saturday morning, February 9, 2013 — the day after the massive Nor’Easter tagged Nemo came to town. The “blizzicane” (certified blizzard with hurricane speed wind gust at times) dumped a bit more than two feet of snow on Boston and was just starting to wind down when I shot these in my neighborhood, Boston’s Back Bay. Several of these shots capture a bit of the beautiful stillness that was Boston Saturday morning. Others do a decent job of conveying the gusty cold feeling of being out in the storm, while portraying the desolate mood of deserted, but beautiful, snow filled streets.
